Canopus ADVC-110 Analog/DV Converter - High-quality Bi-directional
Analog/DV conversion
Convert VHS, S-VHS, Hi8 and 8mm analog tapes to DV through your FireWire port in one simple step using
ADVC-110!
The ADVC-110 is a portable and easy-to-use external bi-directional analog/digital video converter for Windows and Mac OS-based computers that features FireWire bus-powered operation and audio-only conversion capabilities.
ADVC-110 is an affordable conversion solution that easily connects VHS, Hi8 and other analog video equipment to all DV cameras, decks and editing systems.
The Canopus ADVC-110 is an ideal device for capture and output of S-Video and composite analog video from FireWire equipped notebook or desktop computers. There are no software drivers to install and systems equipped with 6-pin FireWire ports are able to supply power through the FireWire cable, so
ADVC-110 does not require an external power supply. Systems and devices equipped with 4-pin FireWire ports will require
the optional power supply. The ADVC-110 can also operate as a stand-alone converter without requiring a computer.

Intelligent Input/Output
The ADVC-110's intelligent usability allows for easy setup and connection in any video environment. Front and rear connectors provide analog and DV signal
pass-through and ensure that connecting cables is neat and simple.
The ADVC-110 also features a color bar reference signal generator to further enhance its integration into any video production environment.
Proven DV Codec Technology
At the heart of ADVC-110 is Canopus's proprietary DV codec chip providing the industry's best picture quality preservation during analog-to-DV and DV-to-analog conversion.
Locked Audio Support
Other converters can lose audio/video sync when converting longer segments of video.
The ADVC-110 supports locked audio when converting from analog to digital, assuring perfect audio and video synchronization.
The ADVC-110 also allows conversion of analog audio signals only, when needed.
