With this FireWire 800 IEEE-1394b active extension cable, you can now extend your
current FireWire 800 1394b cable by another 5 meters! Ideal for any situation where your FireWire
800 device needs to be placed some distance from your computer.
Works like any other extension cable: just plug the cable into the 9 pin FireWire port on your computer
and plug the
FireWire 800 device into the other end.
Full FireWire 800 data
transfer rates of up to 800Mbps are supported and you can use up to 10 active extension cables to extend the distance of your cable up to an additional
160 feet (50 meters)!
