The CardBus PC card adds two 1394a FireWire ports (one 6-pin and one 4-pin) to your Windows laptop computer. Now you can take complete advantage of high performance FireWire 400 IEEE-1394 peripherals, including digital video (DV) camcorders, webcams and hard drives.

Plus, it adds two USB 2.0 ports to your laptop computer. USB 2.0 is “backward compatible” with all USB 1.1 devices and USB 2.0 Hi-Speed devices. This means you can run all your existing USB peripherals simultaneously with any new USB 2.0 devices at their rated speeds. The combo USB and FireWire CardBus Card will give you up to 480 Mbits/second data transfer speeds with USB 2.0 devices. That’s 40 times faster than the standard USB 1.1 data transfer rate of 12 Mbits/second!
