10x faster than that of USB 2.0, this SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ExpressCard enables you to access your data and transfer files much faster than USB 2.0! The new USB 3.0 standard supports transfer rates of up to 5Gb/s, while still providing connectivity and support for the older USB 2.0 (480Mb/s) and 1.1 (12Mb/s) devices.

  • Notebook or desktop computer with an available ExpressCard/34 or ExpressCard/54 slot 
  • Windows 2000/ XP(32/64bit)/ 2003(32/64bit)/ Vista(32/64bit)/ 7(32/64bit)

*Optional power adapter - Due to the power limitations of the ExpressCard interface, without a power adapter this card cannot supply 900mA of current to both ports. Some devices (like External 2.5” Hard Drives) may require the additional power adapter. 

The maximum throughput of this card is limited by the bus interface. If used with ExpressCard Gen 1.0 enabled computers, the max throughput is 2.5 Gb/s. If used with ExpressCard Gen 2.0 enabled computers, the max throughput is 5 Gb/s.
